BikeWalkKC has launched a new program to identify and recognized those businesses in the KC metro area that support cycling. This is your chance to nominate a business you think is deserving recognition.
“BikeWalkKC is launching a new program to recognize businesses that go the extra mile to support the cycling community, and we need the community’s help. From June 7 until July 3, anyone can nominate a bicycle friendly business on BikeWalkKC’s website.”
Some of the criteria BikeWalkKC will be looking at include: bike parking, access to sidewalks and paths, near transit routes, discounts for pedestrians and cyclists, support of local cycling clubs, as well as programs to encourage employees to walk and bike to work.
