The Kansas Cycling Association has released the 2013 Kansas Best Rider/Team race schedule. The series consists of 2 time trials, 5 road races, and 5 criteriums. Bill Mason, KCA KBAR/KBAT Series Coordinator, also announced a new KCA Overall Team Competition.

There is also a new competition this year…the Keen Wealth Cup [will be] awarded to the KCA Overall Team Champion. The Team that accumulates the most KBAR points will win the Trophy for 2013.

Teams can earn points towards the Keen Wealth Cup for almost all of their KBAR points. The more participants a team has in the KBAR races, the better the chances of winning the trophy. Points are earned for the top 15 finishers in a KBAR race.

The KBAR race are:

                  • Bazaar Road Race
                  • Bruce Edwards Memorial TT
                  • Joseph Sheehan Road Race
                  • Tallgrass Stage Race (road race and crit)
                  • Salina Road Race
                  • Salina Crit
                  • Riverside Oak Park Crit
                  • Wichita Riverfest Crit
                  • Walnut TT
                  • The Tour of Lawrence (road race and crit).
