Cathedral Criteriums
The end of summer is quickly approaching but the road action is still hot in Kansas. This weekend brings the first edition of the Cathedral Criteriums. This two-day criterium weekend in Kansas City, Kansas raises money for FreeWheels for Kids. FreeWheels for Kids is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower at-risk kids with cycling. For those who are looking to ride in support of FreeWheels for Kids you can also participate in the Cathedral Gran Fondo. This unsupported event offers riders a guided tour of Kansas City’s beautiful and historic houses of worship with 10, 30 and 50 mile ride options.
Black Bob Cross Clinic
Cross season is just around the corner. Those looking to brush-up on their cross skills can take part in the Black Bob Cross Clinic on Sunday. The clinic covers a host of beginner and intermediate bike skills such as, “mounting and dismounting, starts, sand negotiations, cornering/steering, to more advanced skills such as obstacles, off camber turns and much, much more.
